I have the Tinted Balm in Red Apple, a sheer red. I dislike wearing reds so this light wash of colour is the best way for me handle a red lip. It actually looks quite nice especially when it fades a little. This is quite a thick balm, probably due to the high percentage of lanolin. Despite that, it has a nice consistency and isn't sticky or gluggy. The weather has been quite cold lately and I don't have a heavy duty lip balm for when my lips get really chapped so this has really come in handy. I've been wearing it overnight as well (although it's not really meant to be used in the night because of the SPF in it) and found it's done a great job, even when I have splits in my lips.
The thick consistency does mean that it can be a little difficult to squeeze out in cold weather because it hardens. Another con is that it's quite pricey for a lip balm although it contains much more product than regular tube versions - it's at least three times the size (12.5ml) so the price works out to be the same in the end. Overall, this is a great tinted lip balm especially for those with chronically dry lips, those who lick/bite their lips all the time (like me) and for cold weather in general. Lanolips has been my go-to lip treatment for a few years now and they keep adding to and improving their range.
I find their tinted balms great at moisturising my lips and I never need to keep reapplying throughout the day as with other lip balms.
I usually find lip gloss to be sticky and drying on my lips, but not Lanolips.
I have this in Rose and Rhubarb and it gives my lips a lovely gloss as well as some colour and keeps on protecting my lips.
The plastic tube is both practical and convenient to use. With a screw cap, you never have to worry about it coming off in your handbag and the angled applicator is perfect for applying to your lips.
With medical grade lanolin, vitamin E, natural oils and an SPF of 30, it also gives you great sun protection!
Perfect lip protection with colour - all year round! Beautyheaven customer review.
This Tinted Balm is one of my favourite lip products as it is super moisturising and the colour is just the right amount glossy shine. It is one that I have on high rotation no matter the season and they are so hydrating and moisturising.
The Lanolips Tined Balms come in a slimline squeezy tube with a gold twist cap. The tube is clear which is great as you can see the true colour of the product as well as how much remains. As the tube is so squeezy it means you can get every bit of product out. The application is through a slanted hole in the tube. This simple and mess free design still allows for a smooth and even application.
The lanonlin in this product makes it moisturising and soothing on the lips. It has a thick consistency that glides on smoothly and evenly, leaving a sheen of colour. It isn't sticky at all and leaves the lips feeling nourished. The colour doesn't last for a long period of time but it is easy and comfortable to reapply throughout the day. These are perfect to wear during the day as it has SPF 30 but are so nourishing I also like to apply them before I go to bed. The Lanolips Tinted Balms have a very faint and subtle scent but do not have a particular taste.
I have a few different colours and would love to get more. The limited edition Mulberry shade is my favourite and is a gorgeous plum shade that looks great with everything. I also have the Rose shade which is a lovely everyday pink that would suit every skin tone. While not technically one of the lip ointments with colour, the lemonade lip aid by Lanolips is a lovely shimmery clear gloss that smells phenomenal and I would absolutely recommend it.
I love how these Tined Balms have the shine and colour of a gloss and the hydrating nourishment of a balm. They are an everyday staple product which is so comfortable to wear. The colours leave a gorgeous sheen on the lips and are such great value for money. I would recommend these to everyone as they are my favourite nourishing lip product. Beautyheaven customer review.
this is such an amazing tinted balm, all time fav. Although may seem a bit pricey for a lip gloss, trust me its worth it and lasts. Just a little bit of this is enough to greatly moisturise your lips, and also adds a nice hint of colour so you don't look dead. The reason I keep referring to this as a balm even though it's under the best lip gloss category, is because it moisturises and treats lips so damn well, and it's not really shiny glossy or anything. Another bonus is that it has spf 30, perfect to protect the lips. So overall it doesn't just help make your lips look and feel gorgeous, but also protects to ensure they remain gorgeous. This comes in a gorgeous tube and the golden logo plus cap makes it look like such a classy product, so looks fab on the vanity or even using out and about. Beautyheaven customer review.
