101 Ointment Multi-Balm Vanilla

101 has been my go-to lip balm for years and I love treating my friends and family with gifts of Lano! It’s nice and hydrating without being sticky or heavy, and it always smells so nice.

The Vanilla, like the Banana Cream Pie lip balm gets a 5/5 star rating from me. I’m pretty low-key with my beauty routine, and this is such a great way to moisturise my lips without being too fussy. I like that it can dress up or down. I’m also pretty active and I find all of the 101 Delicious flavors will last the whole of a 5km run. It goes on smooth and stays soft. The flavour Vanilla is scented exactly like a lovely ice cream!

The 101 Delicious remains my go-to for keeping my lips soft and hydrated. I used the 101 Delicious on a recent international flight and it was such a blessing - it kept me from being all dried out on the plane. It’s my favorite and I have them all over my house and car and in every handbag… they are a lifesaver!

If you're considering trying 101 Delicious, I'd say it’s a good product overall, especially if you enjoy sweeter flavours. However, be prepared for the sweetness—it definitely leans towards the sweeter side, which might not be for everyone. It’s perfect for those who appreciate indulgent lip products that deliver a fun twist to your routine.

I would give the 101 Delicious in Vanilla 4 out of 5 stars. They have delightful qualities that I appreciate, but the sweetness can be a bit overwhelming, preventing them from earning a perfect score.

I would rate the level of hydration a solid 10/10. This keeps my lips feeling moisturised and cared for throughout the day, which is exactly what I look for in a lip product. The hydrating properties are definitely a standout feature of all lano products.

Overall, I can’t say enough good things about Lano products! They have become a staple in my beauty routine, and I genuinely love them. I must admit I love all the 101 Delicious products and rate them a 10 out of 10! I am a huge fan and have tubes of it everywhere: bathroom, kitchen, bedside table, office. Can you ever have too many? They are not sticky, they create a little shine and are good at hydrating my lips and anything else that is a bit dry and needs a little tlc. The tubes are small but mighty and fit into pockets, leggings with pockets (my favourite) and purses with ease. The vanilla flavour is not overpowering, but just perfectly balanced. Try both of the new 101 Delicious flavours... you won't be disappointed.

Similar to the Banana Cream Pie, I wouldn't recommend the Vanilla. There's barely any flavour in the Vanilla, which is disappointing. The fragrance is quite strong, but then nothing. I feel the balance was more right with the salted coconut and mango one. This is the reason why I'm giving one star for this product.

The texture is fine, I don't they are versatile as they smell so sweet I wouldn't be inclined to use them as say, the original 101 ointment on my cuticles. I'd say they don't fit with my lifestyle as I'm a woman who's either at work or outdoors a lot and these seem to aimed at young girls. Also, the flavour was barely discernable and not very pleasant (a bit waxy even).

In terms of hydration, this is good. But I would rather use the Golden Salve or the Banana Balm instead.

I always wear a lip balm under my lipsticks. The texture of Vanilla is not too thick nor running. They are Just right. I also like to pop them on throughout the day to keep my lips moist and soft. Vanilla ice cream is my favourite go- to dessert so I love the scent of it. I have a vanilla hand cream that Lanolips also make which is another of my handbag stable. Like the Banana Cream Pie, hydration is high with this new lip balm.
